John's FEMA emergency preparation training enabled successful disaster responses, notably during Hurricane Sandy.

John's dedication to community service during the COVID-19 pandemic earned him recognition, including a spot on the Forbes Next 1000 list in 2021. He is a board member at Mary McDowell Friends Academy and the Phillips School of Nursing.
